In 1957, Polish immigrant Sam Tick established Metro Sportswear Ltd specialising in woollen vests, raincoats and snowmobile suits.  By the late 1970s, Tick was producing parkas for men and women in the police dept and other public sectors.  In the early 1980s, Tick's son-in-law, David Reiss took over as CEO and renamed the brand, Snow Goose.  Continuing in a family partnership, Reiss' son, Dani Riess joined the company in 1997 and again changed its name to Canada Goose.
Manufacturing innovation and global distribution created a path of distinct excellence, the luxury down parkas with the highly recognisable arctic disc patch solidified itself in outwear domination.  Premier in cold weather protection for any element, whether it be in 5°C or -25°C temperatures.
